Why my hard drive is not recognised?

1. Recomm nded formatting the hard disk in exFAT format and can be used under Windows, MacOS systems.

2. Check the disk manager whether the hard disk has been assigned a drive letter, right-click - change the drive name and path - add - add a letter

For new drive, why can’t find it on “My chosen the folder for backup. Mode: Original PC. Then, click to start Computer”?

You must do “partition” (format) for hard disk before using it.

My drive died or was damaged in my previous computer. Will it work with this adapter?

This adapter is the equivalent of plugging in the drive directly into your computer’s IDE or SATA port. If the drive was damaged to the point where it does not work when plugged directly into the computer, it will not work with this adapter.

I set my IDE drive's jumper to the master set, but it still doesn't show up on my computer

Usually, you will have to set the jumper to master, but depending on the specific drive and the specific setting of the computer, you may have to set it to cable select

Why Windows XP can’t recognize the hard disk which is more than 2TB

Windows XP has limitations, it is able to read up to 2TB(max) hard disk only. We suggest upgrading the OS to Vista(64bit) and above. Recommended to convert the disk GPT disk partition, otherwise the OS will not support more than 2TB of disk partition
