Our Hojicha green tea and elecampane root blend herbal infusion tea bags are made using the finest quality raw ingredients, which are sealed inside bleach-free filter paper to create a truly 100% natural infusion. They are made to order and presented in environmentally friendly, black Kraft paper packaging, which is heat sealed and comes complete with a 'tin tie' to help seal in their freshness. Our Hojicha tea originates from the Kagoshima Prefecture in Japan. Using a 3rd flush Bancha style green tea leaf, called Sanbancha, which are steamed, dried and then slowly roasted over a low heat. This roasting process transforms the normal vegetal green tea tones with a toasty, sweet, almost caramel-like flavour. Whilst at the same time, the heat also removes much of the caffeine content in the tea, which makes Hojicha an ideal choice to drink in the evenings, or any time of the day for that matter! Brewing Suggestions: Use 1 tea bag per cup and infuse for 3 - 5 minutes, or to individual taste, using boiled water allowed to cool.
