In addition to controlling the direction of the woofer's sound, one can adjust the angle of the high-performance resin-coated silk dome Neodymium tweeter for superior sound quality and better staging. Switched ±3dB bass and treble tonal controls are at your disposal, giving you, the listener, the flexibility to tailor the speaker response to the room and your personal preferences. With its extended low-frequency response of 30Hz, the ECS-SS82 can efficiently operate without needing a subwoofer. An SS82 in each corner of a room will provide excellent coverage with an impactful bass response.


Unique Angled Woofer Design The 8" woofer is angled at a designated 20 degrees, and the silk dome NEO tweeter can be independently positioned for total sound dispersion flexibility. If installation in the ceiling is only possible around the outer rim of the room, as in many older constructions, the SS82 can provide listeners with outstanding full-room coverage.	Tailor Your Sound Preferences Switched treble and bass tonal controls with ±3dB adjustments give listeners the flexibility to tailor the speaker response to the room and personal preferences. The ECS-SS82 is also equipped with R435 echo control dampening material that eliminates reflections and refraction caused by sound waves that bounce off hard surfaces. This added material results in an audible improvement of sound reproduction regardless of room shape or size. And if that is not enough detail for you, Earthquake engineers have also included an in-depth tonal control center for the many different listening preferences among end users. In addition to the fantastic control, the SweetSpot speakers are also equipped with R435 echo control dampening material that is used to eliminate damaging reflections and refractions caused by sound waved that bounce off hard surfaces. Furthermore, since almost every room is different in size and shape, the R435 material also eliminates echoes that can completely mock a high-end system's integrity. The SweetSpot speakers feature the simple Turn-N-Lock installation mechanism, easy-to-install magnetically attached grilles, high quality crossovers with precision filters and capacitors, gold plated and spring loaded binding posts for a quick connection and solid current flow.
