For the not recognize the printer problems, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
HL SERIES:
1. Make sure the machine is turned on.
2. Open the front cover.
3. Press and hold OK for about two seconds to display Drum unit and then press OK.
4. Press the Up arrow key to reset the drum counter.
5. Close the front cover Of the machine.
MFC DCP SERIES:
1. Make sure the machine is turned on.
2. Press (Settings) button > All Settings > Machine Info. > Parts Life.
3. Press and hold Drum Life until the display message changes.
4. Press Yes.
5. Press (Home) button
For the print quality poor problems, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
Please clean the corona wire by moving the colored tab on the drum unit back and forth several times. Please be sure to return the colored tab back to its original position before you install the toner back in.
