Port Operating Modes: 4 Kind of Working Modes for Socket Application Purposes


TCP Server Mode Once the connection is established, the host receives data from the serial device. From this point on, data can be transmitted between the host and the device in both directions. Supports simultaneous connections from up to 16 host computers in this mode, allowing multiple computers to communicate with the serial device at the same time.	TCP Client Mode When serial data comes into the serial server’s serial port, the serial server initiates contact with the host computer and begins sending serial data to the to the host. The serial server adapter can send data to up to 16 host computers simultaneously.	UDP Server Mode UDP (User Datagram Protocol) Mode is faster and more efficient at communications than TCP. UDP is more suitable for real time applications (such as message display) than the slower TCP which is optimized for data accuracy.	HTTPD Client Mode Convenient user-friendly way to configure an HTTP request to send serial data HTTPD (GET/POST) to a specified server.
