Additive free.

Our protein powders are additive-free. Most protein powders, on the other hand, contain food additives. Although ingredients like these are not necessarily bad for you in small quantities, they can add up quickly, especially if you drink a protein shake every day. At higher quantities, food additives can cause gastrointestinal (GI) side effects like bloating, constipation, cramps, diarrhea, gas, and nausea. Here is a list of the most common food additives in protein powder:

acacia gum, acesulfame potassium, artificial flavors, aspartame, carrageenan, cellulose gum, dextrin, dextrose, erythritol, gellan gum, guar gum, gum arabic, inulin, locust bean gum, “natural” flavors, maltodextrin, rice syrup solids, soy lecithin, silica, sucralose, sunflower lecithin, xanthan gum, xylitol

Dairy-free.

Our protein powders are dairy-free (and therefore lactose-free). Dairy-based proteins can cause GI side effects, especially for people with lactose intolerance or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Common dairy-based proteins include casein and whey protein, which are byproducts of cheese and yogurt production. If your whey or casein protein upsets your stomach, you have come to the right place. Our protein powders will not make you bloat, fart, or run to the bathroom. Boosting your protein intake has never felt so good.

Minimally processed.

Our protein powders are made with minimally processed ingredients like egg whites. Egg whites are simply broken, pasteurized, and dried before becoming protein powder. Most protein powders, on the other hand, are made with protein concentrates and isolates, which undergo heavy mechanical and chemical processing before becoming protein powder. This means that what you end up putting into your body looks nothing like real food.

Egg whites are good for your gut. Unless you have a sensitivity or allergy to eggs, egg white protein powder is the best protein powder for someone with a sensitive stomach. Our customers have experienced fewer digestive issues with egg white protein powder than with any other type of protein powder.

What to expect.

Use a blender. Other protein powders may be easier to mix, but only because they use food additives, which aren't stomach-friendly.

Mix it with milk (any type). Our protein powder tastes best when mixed with 1-2 cups milk. We recommend using dairy-free milk.

Serving size = 6 tbsps. Some of our packaging reads 1/2 cup, which is no longer accurate.

It has a subtle coconut aftertaste. Most people love it, but if you hate coconut, you should try our unflavored protein powder.

It doesn't come with a scoop. We decided that putting a scoop in every bag wastes too much plastic!

My name is Jack. I was sick of protein powders that upset my stomach, so I made my own. Using simple, stomach-friendly foods, I created a protein powder that's easy to digest. It's handmade in New England, and is the best protein powder for sensitive stomachs.
