Air dried, no sSticks. European origin, wildcrafted. Organic, Analyzed in EU Laboratory. Rosehip berries are a component of many tinctures, gins, marinades, and jams. Warning: before human consumption, it is important to remove the so-called "rosehip hair" from within the fruit. The berry has a spherical or ellipsoidal shape 5–50 mm long, and is red to dark red in color. The fruit is harvested after hardening, usually from October to late November. The main active compounds are flavonoids and organic acids. In addition, fruits contain carotenoids beta-carotene, lutein, zeaxanthin and lycopene, which are undergoing research for a variety of potential biological roles. The fruits are dried in two stages - initially at 30 C, and then briefly dried at a higher temperature (40 C), which ensures protection of beneficial active substances and preservation of the raw material. Rosehip fruits are harvested from their natural state, in the Carpathian mountains, a non-industrial region, which ensures the growth of wholesome fruits. Additionally the raw material is sifted and cleaned to meet the rigorous demands of customers.
