Silver Calcium Alginate Dressing is a sterile, non-woven pad composed of a high calcium alginate and silver particles, which absorbs wound exudate and release silver in the presence of wound fluid.
The dressing absorbs exudates and forms a gel like covering over the wound, maintains a moist environment for wound healing.


Natural ingredients: The silver calcium alginate wound dressings are made of alginate fibre, which is derived from seaweed.	Form gel: When applied to a wound there will be an ion-exchange between the calcium in the dressing and sodium from the exudate, forming a soluble calcium/sodium alginate gel.	Soft and comfortable: It is capable of absorbing 10-20 times its weight and maintaining moist wound healing environment.

How to use


Step 1 Clean the wound in accordance with normal procedures.	Step 2 Apply the dressing gently to the wound surface.	Step 3 Cover with an appropriate retention dressing.

CONTRAINDICATION

a) This product is single use. Do not use if pouch is damaged or open.

b) Do not suggest using this product on dry wound.

c) Not intended for use on third degree burns.

d) It should not be used on patients with a known sensitivity to silver.
