The unit utilizes both TENS & EMS functions that can be used together or apart. It has 8 different functions and 32 separate programs that can be used for minor pain or muscle stimulation and massage.

Trouble Shooting Questions and Answers

Q. Why does my “ADVANCED X” TENS & EMS unit not turn on?

A. This could be because of a few reasons. First make sure the unit has been fully charged. Secondly press and hold the ON button for at least 3 seconds. The ON button is located on the top right of the TENS & EMS unit.

Q. Why does my “ADVANCED X” TENS & EMS unit not respond to any touch or inputs from the buttons?

A. When in use, the lock screen can be engaged by pressing the LOCK button. It prevents accessibility to the touch screen function abilities. The LOCK button is located on the top left of the unit. When the LOCK button is pressed the unit cannot be changed until the LOCK feature is turned off.

Q. My “ADVANCED X” TENS & EMS unit seems to be weak in intensity?

A. A few reasons the unit might seem to be less intense could be, lack of charging, improper placement of electrode pads, worn electrode pads, or the lead wires aren’t fully connected.

Q. Which “A” or “B” Channel operates what side?

A. The “A” and “B” Channels operate independently of each other but can be used for all 32 modes of the unit. Channel “A” intensity is controlled by the Channel “A” buttons and Channel “B” intensity is controlled by the Channel “B” buttons. You can use the + or - buttons on the side of the unit to control intensity or you can use the touchscreen and press the + or - icons.

Q. Which modes are the EMS modes and which modes?

A. The top 2 modes are EMS modes. The middle 4 modes are combined EMS & TENS modes. The bottom 2 modes are TENS modes.

Q. My electrode pads aren’t sticking to the applied areas?

A. It is recommended to change the electrode after 30 uses. After each use make sure to disconnect the pads, rinse them with clean water, and place the plastic protective cover back on. The use of electrode gel is recommended for best results.

Comes with a 1 year Warranty against manufacturing defects. For best results we reccomend using an Electrode Gel with the Electrode Pads. Dr. Boyd's 'ADVANCED X' TENS & EMS unit uses 3.5mm Snap Electrode Pads, please verify proper pad electode attachment when ordering replacment Electrode Pads. *AUVON Electrode Pads are not compatibale with DR.
