Loperamide is an anti-diarrhea or diarrhoea relief capsule used to control acute (sudden) diarrhoea it works by slowing the movement of bowel content so you can get on with your day. Diarrhoea can start quite suddenly but doesn't usually last for many days. Diarrhoea is usually caused by a viral or bacterial infection, food poisoning or foreign travel. Key features. This product is a generic medicine with the same active ingredients as high street brands. 2mg Loperamide capsules are for the relief of sudden diarrhoea (diarrhoea) and help limit trips to the toilet. Suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over. How to use the product: Short term Diarrhoea: Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Take 2 capsules to start with and then take 1 capsule after each loose bowel movement. Do not take more than 6 capsules in any 24 hours, and do not take for longer than 48 hours. Talk to your doctor if short term attacks of diarrhoea last longer than 48 hours. Diarrhoea associated with IBS: Adults only aged 18 years and over: Take 2 capsules to start with and then take 1 capsule as needed until stools become solid. Do not take more than 6 capsules in any 24 hours. Talk to your doctor if one episode continues for longer than 48 hours, if symptoms do not improve within 14 day or worsen, or if you notice new symptoms. INGREDIENTS Loperamide hydrochloride 2mg, Lactulose monohydrate, maize starch, talc, magnesium stearate and the capsule shells contain gelatin, paent blue(E131), quinoline yellow (E104), sunset yellow (E110), carmoisine (E122), titanium dioxide (E171), sodium laurilsulfate.
