MICRO-FLIPPER: the CO2 bubbles emerge at the bottom in the flipper at the opening and rise into the walkways. Some of the CO2 thus already dissolves in the aquarium water. The rest accumulates in the collector and joins the water from there. While the CO2 bubbles rise in the flipper, other gases naturally dissolved in the aquarium water enter the bubbles. The bad gases are significantly lighter than CO2, relatively heavy, and therefore accumulate at the top in the collector. From there, they are evacuated in a regular manner through the specially dimensioned bad gas purge hole (slots). Heavy CO2 on the other hand is at the bottom in the gas pad, at the boundary with the water. Break-in time: it is about 2 days. In the beginning, the small CO2 bubbles come together to form larger bubbles. As soon as a biological layer of microorganisms has formed, the bubbles creep up to the collector. Tip: the easiest way to measure the CO2 content is the Dennerle CO2 Correct long-term test: when the test shows Green, the water contains exactly the right amount of CO2 (not supplied with it, order separately).
