What is LH

Luteinizing Hormone (LH) is one of the hormones produced by the pituitary gland.

Once a developing egg follicle reaches a certain size, Luteinizing Hormone secretion surges to high levels.

This hormone surge is what triggers ovulation about 24 to 36 hours later.

Step 1 - Dip into Urine

Take out a test strip, immerse it vertically into the urine for at least 3 seconds until dye rised up.

Do not pass the MAX line on the strip test.

Step 2 - Wait a While

Lay the strip flat.

Read results in 10-20 minutes. Do not read your result after more than 20 minutes.

Step 3 - Read the Results

1.Positive:

If two lines are visible in the result window and the test line (T) color is equal to or darker than the control line (C), your likelihood of ovulating increased in the next 24-36 hours.

2.Negative:

Only one line appears in the control region or the test line (T) is lighter than the control line (C), which indicates no LH surge.

3.Invalid:

No visible line at all or only one line appears in the test region.

The Right Time To Test

Determine the length of your menstrual cycle before test(the length of your menstrual cycle is one day from your first bleeding to your next bleeding) .

Please refer to the cycle chart to determine when you should start testing. If you do not know your cycle length, you may begin the test 11 days after your first period, as the average cycle length is 28-30 days. It is recommended to calculate the start test day with the shortest number of cycle days.

Example: If your cycle length is normally 28 days, the chart indicates testing should begin on day 9.
