Developed by da Vinci brushes in Germany, Casaneo is the latest breakthrought in synthetic brush making. In 1983, da Vinci invented the multi diameter synthetic brush with their best selling Cosmotop Spin line of watercolor brushes. Casaneo uses a new "wavy" or "crimped" fiber that yields stunning results. Excellent for watercolor, gouache, acrylic, silk painting, calligraphy, with ink and for sketching, Casaneo is like no other synthetic brush. A favorite brush of the Urban Sketchers movement. Da Vinci Watercolor Series 490 Casaneo Quill Liner is a brush with extra long, wavy synthetic squirrel hair, traditionally bound with an extra long perfectly shaped tip. Carefully shaped to a point. For liquid painting of details and floral motifs. Due to the traditional wire binding, this model is more elastic in comparsion to standard liners & riggers and also best suited for calligraphy techniques. Long fiber setting, traditionally bound, extra long tip, extra soft synthetic fibres with exceptional elasticity and extremely high color absorbency. Set in plastic quills on black lacquered handles in sizes 0 and 2.
