Skin care has been a passion for Liverpool beauty entrepreneur, Sharon Hilditch MBE from an early age.
Award winning Crystal Clear Skincare was born from her desire to create a range of effective treatments and skin-rejuvenating products that truly made a difference.
Today, Crystal Clear is a leading provider of innovative beauty technology and award winning skin care products. It is available in over 3000 UK salons, exports internationally as well as having a massive celebrity following, including global stars such as Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna.
Sharon began her meteoritic rise in the beauty industry at the age of 17, buying her first salon and a few years later launching a second which was also a great commercial success.
Taking a new direction, Sharon sold both her salons, and went to work for a cosmetic surgery group gaining invaluable experience within the skin care sector.
During this time, she travelled abroad learning from some of the most expert dermatologists and specialists in the industry. It was then Sharon spotted the potential for a non-surgical skin resurfacing treatment that would bridge the gap between salon facials and medical procedures, thereby creating a new market in the beauty sector.
In 1995 she formed Crystal Clear to offer this milder, less aggressive form of skin resurfacing. Today, that treatment, Crystal Clear Microdermabrasion, is the industry's most popular salon treatment machine and has earned its cult status among beauty therapists and clients worldwide.
Building a reputation as an innovator and skin care guru, Sharon went on to launch Crystal Clear's eponymous skin care range along with a strong portfolio of advanced salon treatments that deliver effective and impressive results.
With Sharon as Product Developer, she continues to shake up the beauty world launching Crystal Clear's most revolutionary treatment yet in 2014. Cryo Oxygen Microchannelling Collagen Induction Therapy Elite utilises four advanced technologies in one world-first facial, combining freeze therapy and microchannnelling with a skin and oxygen infusion to stimulate new collagen production, significantly reduce lines and wrinkles and rejuvenate skin texture and firmness.
Since 1995, Sharon has won numerous awards and inspired many upcoming female entrepreneurs. In 2008, Sharon was honoured with an MBE in recognition of her outstanding contribution to British business. She was named winner of the prestigious NatWest Everywoman UK "Female Entrepreneur of the Year" Award in 2004 and was the deserving recipient of the Prince Philip Medal 2008. In the inaugural Women in Business Awards 2013, Sharon was the worthy winner of the "Decade in Excellence in Business" award, scooping "Innovator of the Year" at the fourth Women in Business Awards in 2016.
