10 Easy Steps for Washing Hair with a Comfort Cape Shampoo Sink Drape

1. Seat the person in front of a sink.
2. Place a towel on their shoulders and around the base of the neck. Apply a shampoo cape, if desired.
3. Place the Comfort Cape shampoo sink drape onto the back and shoulders with fabric side up and the plastic side down.
4. Lift the hair away from their neck to allow the collar of the shampoo sink drape to lie flat against the back and sides of their neck.
5. Grasp the Velcro strips (or buckles, if applicable) and pull the shampoo sink drape collar firmly against the back of the neck.
6. Secure the Comfort Cape shampoo sink drape using the Velcro strips (or buckles, if applicable).
7. If the Comfort Cape shampoo sink drape is not fitting in the sink or is too high against the person's neck, move the chair away from the sink until the shampoo sink drape fits properly on the neck and into the sink.
8. Tilt the person's head back slightly to help direct the water flow down the shampoo sink drape and into the sink.
9. Wash hair and rinse. You may need to cup one hand against their head/hair to help direct water towards the back of their head and onto the drape. Squeeze any excess water from their hair.
10. When finished, separate the Velcro strips (or buckles, if applicable) and move the Comfort Cape shampoo sink drape to a vertical position to allow any water to drain into the sink. You may wish to squeeze the side water bumper guides to remove any excess water.
