Kenya Blue Mountain Coffee

Kenya Blue Mountain Coffee

Brewing Methods

Kenya Blue Mountain Coffee Beans

Our Kenya Blue Mountain is grown from seeds originally from Jamaica, which produce a coffee that has the natural sweetness of Blue Mountain Jamaica, but has also taken on the rich, aromatic flavour and intensity that is typical of Kenyan coffee. Kenya's acidic soils provide excellent conditions for the growth of quality coffee, especially the renowned arabica bean, which is known to take on fantastic cocoa notes in Kenyan coffees.

Full bodied, with a good acidity, hints of nut and citrus and a lovely caramel aftertaste, Kenya Blue Mountain is perfect in stronger coffees.

One-Way Foil-Fresh Bags

Coffee starts to lose its freshness the moment it interacts with the air around it; that’s why we pack our coffees immediately in one-way valve, foil fresh bags. This way, the CO2 in the bags can escape, but air cannot get in.

Suitable Brewing Methods

Barista Reserve is suitable for the following brewing methods:

  • Cafetiere
  • Filter
  • Percolator
  • Turkish
  • Vacuum or Siphon

Regarded as one of the most exclusive and sought-after coffees in the world, Kenya Blue Mountain is grown high in the majestic Blue Mountains of Jamaica, in a climate that produces beans that develop and mature slowly, giving them their rich, full-bodied taste and unique character. Kenya Blue Mountain is renowned for its delicate, mild and mellow flavours and lack of bitterness. A full bodied coffee with a good acidity, hints of nut and citrus and a lovely caramel aftertaste, this is perfect in strong filter coffees or brews straight from the cafetiere. Kenya Blue Mountain Coffee has been around for more than 100 years and is believed to have been introduced to Kenya by British settlers, with seeds that came originally from Jamaican Blue Mountain estates. It is cultivated at high altitudes in the Kenyan mountains, where cooler temperatures, acidic soil and good rainfall make favourable conditions for its production.
