Why Cocofina MCT Oil

Cocofina MCT oil is extracted from 100% sustainable coconut oil. The pure C8 & C10 oil packed is consciously packed in a dark green glass bottle to stop the light breaking down the oil and the plastic leaching into the oil.

We do not exploit animals or humans in our supply chains. We avoid sourcing from areas where these practices are common as its hard to operate within these regions and not be affected.

Why 60% C8 & 40% C10

The main types of MCT Oil are C6, C8, C10 and C12. The number relates to the number of carbon atoms the more the carbon atoms, longer the chain. Each of the the types have their own benefits. C6 is thought to be the best to convert to ketones but they taste really bad and upsets your stomach. C8 or Caprylic acid is good for production of ketones and most efficient to convert to energy on the other hand C10 or CapricAcid is good for immunity and gut health. So a C8 and C10 combination provides a good balance between energy and gut health.

Start slowly – start with a teaspoon a day and gradually increase to a table spoon daily.

Don't fry as MCT Oil burns at a very lowtemperature

Do not have have more than 4-6 tablespoons a day

What is MCT Oil

MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides, most of the fat you eat are long-chain triglycerides. MCT oil molecules are smaller and easier to digest and hence you body is able to convert them into energy easily. MCT Oil could be made from palm oil or coconut oil and is extracted using a process called fractionation hence its called fractionated oil too.

Why MCT Oil

MCT are easily digested and less likely to be stored as fat in the body. Unlike long chain triglycerides, it does not require pancreatic enzymes to breakdown the oil in the digestive system. MCT may help increase blood ketone levels if combined with a keto diet.

Why Coconut

Coconut oil is sustainable and contains higher amounts of lauric and capric acid which are in comparison absent in other oils. To add to this we use organic coconut oil as raw material which provides us peace of mind that from start of the process we are not using any solvents or chemicals.

A keto diet in incredibly popular as proponents say that it promotes weight loss and provides metal clarity. The concept is to get the majority if your calories from protein and fat and the least amount from carbohydrates. An MCT oil is said to help your body to generate more ketones and keep you in your fat burning phase.

About Cocofina

Cocofina was founded by Jacob Thundil who was born in Kerala, which in Sanskrit means 'the land of the coconut trees'. Given his passion for coconuts there is no one better qualified to be the Chief Nut!

Cocofina was founded in 2004 way before coconuts were trendy. Cocofina mean fine coconuts literally.
