Der Ayurveda empfiehlt, morgens die Mundhöhle nach der Zungen- und Zahnreinigung mit speziell aufbereitetem Mundpflegeöl– Gandusha – zu spülen. Es wird auch als "Öl-ziehen" bezeichnet. Dabei wird das Öl in der Mundhöhle bewegt und durch die Zähne gezogen. Anschließend wird das Öl ausgespuckt. Dieser Vorgang soll das Zahnfleisch und die Zähne stärken.
