Created in 1921 by Gabrielle Chanel and perfumer Ernest Beaux, NÂ°5 was a visionary, avant-garde fragranceâ€”an abstract scent in an era of single-note florals. In 2008, Jacques Polge, the Chanel perfumer at the time, reinterpreted his predecessor's radical composition by approaching NÂ°5 from a new angle, revealing its hidden side: EAU PREMIÃˆRE, a light, airy, luminous version of the now and forever fragrance.
COMPOSITION
The voluptuousness of Ylang-Ylang from the Comoros blends into the harmonious and delicate facets of May Rose and Jasmine. The Ylang-Ylang here is more discreet, giving softness and transparency to the top notes. The opulence of Jasmine from Grasse is more sheer, revealing a soft and subtle facet of NÂ°5. Aldehydes grant it a unique presence, and the smooth touch of Vanilla and musky notes create an incredibly feminine trail.
HOW TO APPLY
EAU PREMIÃˆRE is a fragrance meant for more generous use. In an elegant spray format for easy application on skin or clothing.

Suggested Usage:
-Fragrance is intensified by the warmth of your own body. Apply in the creases of your knees and elbows for a longer-lasting, stronger scent.
-After applying, avoid rubbing or dabbing skin. This breaks down the fragrance, causing it to wear off more quickly.
-If you prefer placing fragrance on your wrists, be sure to reapply after frequent hand-washing, as this tends to rinse off the scent.
-Replace fragrance after 12 months. Expired perfumes more than a year old lose the integrity of the original scent.
