The incredibly bright zoom lens features an f/2.8 maximum aperture that stays constant throughout the zoom range, and an 8-blade circular aperture for dramatic images with gorgeous background blur.

Dust and Water-resistant

The highly durable design is built to perform in even the most challenging environments. It delivers a dust and water-resistant construction with seals around the mount, switches, zoom ring and more.
Fluorine Coating

To help maintain a clean lens, the front and rear lens surfaces feature a smudge-resistant fluorine coating that helps repel water and oil and can easily be cleaned with a dry cloth.

Fast and Near-silent Autofocus

The lens features a fast and near-silent AF system so you don't disturb your subject, and includes an inner focusing ring USM system that works in combination with a high-speed CPU and AF algorithms to help deliver precise, fast performance. It also offers full-time manual focus.

Shake reduction for up to 3.5 shutter speed stops* provides consistently sharp results.
