Vitamin D supports the normal absorption and utilization of calcium and contributes to normal calcium levels in the blood. That is why this combination is so valuable.

Scientific studies show that many people do not achieve the intake of calcium recommended by the nutritional scientific societies with their diet. Overall, this affects around half of the population between 14 and 80 years of age.

The normal diet contains very little vitamin D, most of it is formed in the skin when exposed to sunlight. In winter this is almost practically impossible and even in summer there is often a lack of vitamin D.
