E100S

Supercardioid Condenser Microphone

Engineered and built in the USA, the E100S large diaphragm supercardioid condenser has the lowest noise floor in its class (3.7 dBA) and the smooth, vintage tone and robust low end CAD is known for. The bootstrapped, full differential Quadra-FET front end delivers high sensitivity and low distortion, plus CAD's proprietary circuitry ensures the highest performance.

The nickel plated 1 inch capsule delivers accurate phasing on instruments, and a full rich vocal tone, accentuated by the extended low frequency response. Features include an 80Hz hi-pass filter and a 10dB pad.

Modular Dual-Capsule Condenser Microphone with 3-Position High Pass Filter and 3-Position Pad

Packaged in a small, rugged metal housing, the Equitek E70 condenser microphone provides transparent, accurate acoustic capture. The low mass 1/2" gold sputtered diaphragm makes the e70 the preferred choice for high frequency sources rich in transients such as cymbal, hi-hat, strings, acoustic guitar, woodwinds and piano. The transformerless design reduces low frequency distortion at high sound pressure levels.

The 3 position hi-pass filter and 3 position pad provide the versatility required in demanding live sound and studio applications. Large Diaphragm Variable Polar Pattern Condenser Microphone

The M179 combines a vintage design with advanced electronics, featuring the dual pattern version of the original Equitek E300 capsule, an externally biased capsule with a gold sputtered 1.1" diaphragm.

Typical FET (field effect transistor) condenser microphones use discrete designs. This means they use individual transistors that must be carefully matched for proper characteristics. Even with careful matching, discrete designs are inherently nonlinear. The M179 uses a different approach, without any discrete FETs. Instead, CAD uses advanced high speed OpAmps (Operational Amplifiers). These OpAmps are individually laser trimmed for optimum performance and have very high gain. This allows a large amount of negative feedback to be used to significantly reduce any non-linearity. They also integrated a new discrete high efficiency power supply circuit allowing greater dynamic range and lower self noise.

The CAD M179 combines an advanced headamp design, with extremely efficient power circuitry, and a vintage capsule design, resulting in superior transient response, low distortion, low noise, and high output level.
