Für das Byodo Bratöl Klassik werden ausschließlich high oleic Sonnenblumenkerne verwendet. Dabei handelt es sich um eine spezielle Sonnenblumensorte mit einem besonders hohen Gehalt an Ölsäure, einer einfach ungesättigten Fettsäure. Dieser Anteil kann bei high oleic Saaten bis zu 70% betragen und ist verantwortlich für die gute Erhitzbarkeit des Öles. Wie alle biologischen Öle von Byodo wird auch dieses Bio-Bratöl zunächst durch ein nährstoffschonendes Kaltpressverfahren gewonnen - natürlich aus erster Pressung. Durch die anschließende Wasserdampfwäsche (= schonende Desodorierung) bei niedrigen Temperaturen werden dem Öl intensive Farb- und Geschmacksstoffe entzogen.
