Bunzees retain their elasticity for well over a year. Based on some reports, some have even made it past the 2 year mark. As Bunzees age, the cushions may begin to shrink but they will still retain their hold.

Can my hair get caught in the bead

For ponytails, this is not an issue whether you pre- or post-adjust. For buns, we recommend pre-adjusting before using since tightening while already in a messy bun can risk stray hairs getting caught.

What is a common mistake to avoid

One common mistake we see is only using one loop and relying on the adjustment feature to tighten. For optimal use, we recommend using multiple loops as you would with standard hair ties and then tightening if needed. (95% of people don't need to).

Do these cause hair dents or creases

This does not cause creasing when used in dry hair. If used in wet hair, however, it is possible for hair to dry to the shape the current hold.
