Total Activity scored at 15+ British Autumn Honey has been lab tested for its beneficial properties akin to the renowned Manuka honey. It has been reviewed by Minerva Scientific for its antibacterial activity on a scale referred to as 'Total Activity' (TA). Any honey with a TA level of greater than 10+ may have beneficial antimicrobial properties, and these properties are more effective as the TA level increases. British Autumn Honey achieves a score of 17, putting it in the 15+ bracket.	Never imported and never blended Around 90% of honey found on supermarket shelves is made up of cheap imports - often described as a blend of EU and Non EU honeys. All our honey is 100% British, supporting not only our bees but also our beekeepers. An added benefit of sourcing all our honey from the UK is that it hasn't been shipped in from the other side of the world. Unpasteurised, 'raw' honey straight from the hive We avoid processing wherever possible. Nothing is ever added to, or removed from, our honey and as beekeepers ourselves, we know what real honey is. We never bulk out our products with sugar syrups, we never ultra filter it and we definitely don't pasteurise it as that would destroy the health benefits.

Founders Chris & Paul met in an office 20 years ago, but their interest in beekeeping led them to London's rooftops and gardens, where they cared for over 50 hives. It was a life changing experience but they weren't content. In fact they were annoyed. Annoyed with all the tasteless, imported honey they found on supermarket shelves. They wanted to share their love of raw, unblended honey with everyone, so Black Bee Honey was born.
