The Breg PTO Knee Brace effectively reduces and treats pain and instability from patellar maltracking. The PTO is one of the world's most relied-upon brace for the treatment of kneecap (patella) problems. The unique patella buttress attaches to the side hinge bars to provide greater force on the patella and normalize tracking during walking and running activities. The PTO (Patella Tracking Orthosis) hinge dynamically adjusts the amount of compression applied through the lateral pressure plate on the patella buttress according to the amount of bend in the knee. As the knee moves into extension, the plate and buttress work together to form a lateral "soft tissue wall" to control patella subluxation. The Breg PTO provides effective stabilization for patella maltracking, subluxations/dislocations, and patella instability. The hinged design, dynamic patella donut capabilitiy, and lightweight materials make it a favorite. The soft Airmesh material is both breathable and latex-free. The PTO "standard" model features lightweight aluminum for durability that's suitable for everyday use, rehabilitation of common patella overuse injuries, and non-contact sports.

Works "dynamically" as the patient performs normal knee movement while walking and/or running.
