Treats tap water to make it safe for use in a pond containing aquatic wildlife

Tap Water Fresh Start removes chlorine and heavy metals from tap water making it safe for aquatic life in ponds. Fresh Start also adds aloe vera, instantly protecting fishes delicate fins and gills.

Fresh Start acts instantly and makes the tap water safe for fish, we recommend that you monitor the toxic waste build up in a new pond with a test kit and add Biostart to speed up the process of maturing the pond.

When carrying out a water change or top up we recommend adding Fresh Start to a bucket of water and then distribute this evenly over the ponds surface before adding the tap water. When filling up a new pond, add the require amount of Fresh Start to the pond first, then add tap water.

How to use:

Calculate the ponds volume or top up/water change quantity.
Shake bottle well and remove dosage chamber cap and foil seal
Squeeze bottle until chamber is filled to the required level
Add 1 x 25 ml measure for every 227 L (50 gals) of pond water

When starting or maintaining a pond, it is important to understand how the environment works. Whether you are keeping a wildlife or fish pond, the natural processes will be the same however factors like fish stocking levels will change how much pressure you are putting on these processes, and how you can support them.

One of the main biological processes in any water system is the nitrogen cycle. This cycle is how waste products like fish waste, plant decay and general organic sludge are broken down and processed by a variety of different useful bacteria. These waste materials are broken down through the nitrogen cycle to remove toxic chemicals and turn them into healthy nutrients which plants use to grow.
