What we want you to know, and feel, is that you're kind, you're considerate, you're unique. You're authentic, You're real, you're boss. You need no one's approval but your own.

Choosing a skimboard can be a difficult task. We'll keep it simple for you.

Size - 41"	This can be one of the most confusing things about buying a board. We have found that the 41" board generally suits most beginners, which is why we decided to take away the guess work and produce only this size.
Why we chose this size	The rule of thumb is generally to get a skimboard that stands at about mid-chest height. However, if you're smaller you can still ride and grow into the board, and if you're taller and of average weight, we've found that the board is still suitable. In fact most of our customers are adults that purchase boards for their children - and they tell us they have equally as much fun testing the boards out themselves!
Grip Pad for Beginners	Our boards feature an EVA grip pad top - again, this is designed for beginners. A board without grip would be extremely slippery and dangerous. Built in grip means you don't need to wax the boards or purchase additional grip.
Board Bag	Our boards come with a carry case, this allows you to easily carry your board, towel, sunscreen etc with you.
Durable Layered Wood	Wood skimboards suit beginners - skimming in the shallows at the beach, learning to ride very small shoreline waves, or playing around in other flat bodies of water. We have tested the boards for durability time and time again. Professional wave riding skim boarders tend to use boards made out of fibreglass.

WHO IS THIS BOARD FOR? Our 41 Inch board 'The Bruce' is generally best suited for someone weighing between 60-100lbs. Wood Skimboards are a great way to start your skimboarding journey. As you get more practice, you can then look at purchg a fibreglass board for more wave riding. HOW DO YOU USE A SKIMBOARD? Skimboards are designed to skim along the shallow water at the edge of the beach using your own energy. Generally, people add wax to the board so that they don't slip off. Our board comes with EVA grip (and a board bag!) so there's no need for any extras. As you see a wave rolling back from the shoreline, get a running start. While running, toss the skimboard in front of you. Step on top of the board with the front foot in the middle, and the back foot towards the back of the board. Try to skim along the waters edge carefully, maintaining balance. Check out our video to get the idea. Practice getting off the board while it is in motion. Don't give up!
