The Belva BXD4K is a Class D amplifier utilizing a small but efficient MOSFET transistor. MOSFET amplifiers are designed to process digital signals with a lower power consumption. By using less power, MOSFET amplifiers lose less energy to heat dissipation. Losing less energy due to heat means Class D amplifiers, such as the Belva BXD4K, have a higher efficiency rate of 90% compared to their AB class counterparts that feature an efficiency rate of 50 to 70%.

The Belva BXD4K features a variety of controls at the user's disposal. These features include; a variable bass boost from 0-18dB, subwoofer level control via an integrated bass knob, and phase control allowing the user to add electrical delay to the incoming signal. In addition, the Belva BXD4K includes preamp RCA outputs which allows the user to daisy-chain multiple amps to the main unit.

The Belva BXD4K includes built-in 3-way circuitry. This circuitry configuration provides thermal, overload, and speaker short protection increasing the longevity of not only the amplifier but the entire sound system as a whole.
