Ultra Shine

The “SECRET SAUCE” at the heart of the Scratch-B-Gone system. This proprietary formulation serves 3 very important and necessary functions; 1. Lubricates the working surface 2. Lifts particulate which is created during the re-graining process 3. Speeds the return of the ‘warm look’ by chemically oxidizing the ‘new’ restored surface to quickly blend and match surrounding areas

‘Ultra Shine’ leaves your repaired area looking fresh and dries to the touch upon wiping. It is ‘Ultra Shine’ which makes quick and thorough restorations possible.

The EXPERT says: DO NOT SUBSTITUTE! Without ‘Ultra Shine’, any attempt to resurface a damaged or scratched area will result in a discolored “Bright Spot” which will not match surrounding surfaces and require refinishing of an entire surface and adjacent surfaces to match.

The Process


Step 1 Step 1 - First, determine if you are working on non-coated stainless-steel by using the Tru-Metal Test Strip included in every kit. If it comes back black, you are working on non-coated stainless steel and clear to proceed.	Step 2 Step 2 - Choose which handle to use. If it's only cosmetic, use the the blue handle. If it's a slightly deeper scratch, use the yellow handle.	Step 3 Step 3 - Apply a small "S" shaped amount of Ultra Shine to the pad, you don't need much.	Step 4 Step 4 - Grip the handle and while applying even, medium pressure, go back and forth (or up and down) always in the grain direction, around 10 times. Then, using the microfiber cloth, wipe clean the area. If scratches still remain, repeat the process. After repeating the process 2 or 3 times and deeper scratches still persist, graduate to coarser pad (yellow handle). Please see videos online for demonstrations.
