Subtly floral sensationally sweet pure honey from the rare Paliurus Spina - christi. The Raw Honey Collective's Spina-christi honey has a great dark brownish colour and is predominatly made from Paliurus spina-christi, which makes it very UNIQUE AND RARE. Origin: from Emil's organic apiary in the Sakar mountain in Bulgaria. Emil's bees collect nectar from remote linden forests and lush wild meadows, in a rural area far away from agricultural land industrial pollutants. Single origin, artisan honey, never blended. Unprocessed, unheated, unpasteurised honey. Free from chemicals pesticides. PURE SPINA CHRISTI HONEY We are sending samples of our honey for analysis to accredited laboratory for every batch of honey we offer. The pollen lab analysis showed that in late July August 2020 Emil's bees collected nectar pollen predominantly(40 ) from Paliurus spina - Christi a.k.a Christ's thorn which is reputed to have been one of the species which made up Christ's crown of thorns, hense the common name. Paliurus spina - Christi is a thorny shrub, member of the buckthorn family native to southern Europe, the Himalayas western China. After cristalisation the colour changes to dark yellow.
