Arducam 12MP IMX708 120° Wide Angle M12 Lens HDR CMOS Raspberry Pi Camera Module

Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 is the latest camera model released by Raspberry Pi Official in 2023. Arducam has designed two Fixed-Focus camera variants before. This camera adopts the 11.9MP IMX708 Image Sensor which can be used to take full HD video as well as still photographs and features an HDR mode of up to 3 megapixels. The camera is equipped with a 120° wide-angle M12 Lens. Wide-Angle Lens always has a deeper depth of field which can effectively reduce bokeh. A manual focus camera allows you to use it in situations such as macro photographs, low light, etc. where autofocus is difficult to achieve. Meanwhile, it is native to Raspberry Pi and fully supported by libcamera and Picamera2 library. Arducam is committed to creating diverse and convenient camera solutions. Also, we designed various accessories for the Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 which include the Camera Extension solution, Quad-Vision stereo camera kit, UVC USB camera solution, and upcoming FPD-Link solution, etc.

Notes

The official IMX708 Camera Module 3 can be used on Raspberry Pi directly (B0306, B0307). Arducam Camera Module 3 will need some modification on configuration, please refer to the following content:

Please make sure you are running the latest version of Raspberry Pi OS. (January 28th, 2022, or later releases, Debian version:11(Bullseye)).

1. For Bullseye users on Pi 4, please do the following: sudo nano /boot/config.txt

Find the line: camera_auto_detect=1, update it to: camera_auto_detect=0

add the line: dtoverlay=imx708

Save and reboot.

Come with a 15cm 15-22pin camera cable, equipped with M12 Lens for manual focus applications. Fully support libcamera and Picamera2, and uses CSI-2 serial data output with 2-wire serial communication for seamless integration. Wide-angle M12 Lens: The camera equipped with a 120° (HFOV) wide-angle M12 lens, allowing for deeper depth of field and capturing more image detail while effectively reducing bokeh. HDR Image Sensor: The camera is based on a back-illuminated stacked CMOS 12-megapixel high-resolution image sensor (IMX708), which can output up to 3 megapixels in HDR mode on the Raspberry Pi. The maximum resolution is 4608(H) × 2592(V). Compatible with all Raspberry Pi boards, Pi 4B/3B, Pi Zero W/2 W. Note: there is not a 22-22 pin cable in the package, if need it to work with Pi Zero, it is necessary.
