How we got our start

From the inventor: "Over the past 20 years, I've probably sprained each ankle over a dozen times, mostly from "rolling" it while playing basketball. So in 2006 I came up with the idea to prevent or limit the rolling action with the patented Ankle Roll Guard (U.S. Patent No. 7,849,611)"

Conclusion: The Ankle Roll Guard may provide similar prevention of excessive inversion as either the brace or tape, but without the mechanical restriction of the joint that reportedly limits physical performance when wearing ankle prophylactic devices. With the Ankle Roll Guard, participants exhibited more natural ankle motions (i.e. plantar flexion) during both the sudden inversion event and vertical jump. The less restrictive ARG may make its use ideal during rehabilitation as it allows ankle plantar- and dorsiflexion motions, while preventing inversion related to injury.
