Element No.34 on the Periodic Table, Selenium (Se) is an amorphous, crystalline, typically reddish-brown metal. Selenium is an extremely important trace mineral, but in large concentrations can be extremely toxic to cells and tissues. In angstrom-sized suspension, Selenium helps the cell produce Vitamin E, and works in harmony with Vitamin E as a most effective free radical scavenger making it a very important anti-oxidant element. Scientists in Brussels found that taking 100 mcgs. of selenium daily improved overall immune system functions by a whopping 80%. They found that the body uses selenium to produce a substance called glutifying peroxidaze - an enzyme used by the body to detoxify fats, thereby increasing immunity. Product Overview

Selenium - Promotes normal body growth, supports fertility, encourages tissue elasticity, potent antioxidant, reduces the retention of toxic metals in the body, and crucial for the proper functioning of heart muscle.

Children's Dosage:

The recommendations in the applications are for individuals 60 pounds and heavier. Reduce dose 1/2 for children 30-60 pounds, 1/4 for children 10-30 pounds, and 1/8 for infants.

Dosage:

All dosages refer to the eyedropper included in the 2 OZ bottles as packaged by Mother Earth Minerals. The Minerals should be placed under the tongue (sublingually) and 1 minute should pass before the individual swallows. We recommend waiting 30 seconds to a minute before taking another mineral. This allows maximum absorption into the bloodstream and the cells.

Measurement:

Dpfl equals dropperful as provided in 2 ounce bottles. Since the minerals offered by Mother Earth Minerals are Ionic, and Water Soluble - what minerals are not needed by the cell are passed through the body so it is impossible to overdose.
