Use with Pre-Dye if you want to change from one strong colour to another or if you want to achieve a lighter colour Note: 1 Dye pod can dye up to 600g of fabric, any more than this and the colour will be effected. Pre dye should also be used before the dye pod depending on the existing colour of the fabric. How much fabric can I dye with one pack of Machine DyeOne pack will dye up to 600g of fabric to the full shade (up to 1.8kg of fabric to lighter shades). Use multiple packs to dye larger amounts of fabric. Always use the whole pack(s) in one go. You can use up to 5 packs in one wash. How does the original colour of the fabric affect the end resultColour mixing rules apply, e.g. blue dye on a red fabric will result in purple. Patterns on the fabric may also still be visible after dyeing. Stains, faded areas or bleach marks may not always covered by the dye. Do I have to add additional salt or a fixativeWhen dyeing, don't use additional salt or fix, as the dye already includes these. Why is it more sustainable to dye faded jeans than buying a new pairThe dyeing process with consumes 60 litres of water. The production of a single pair of new jeans consumes about 8000 litres of water. How long does the fabric dye lastWill it fadeYou can treat dyed fabrics just like new fabrics. The shade will last longer if you use a colour care detergent instead of an all-purpose detergent. Will fabrics dyed with fabric dye run onto other fabrics in subsequent washesDyed fabric is the same as a new item in terms of colour. It should be washed with similar-coloured textiles to minimize the risk of colour runs. Red fabrics for example should not be washed with white fabrics. Is it possible to dye dark colours to a lighter shadeYes sometimes, but you would need to use Pre-Dye first to remove the original colour. Is it possible to dye faded fabrics after they've been through many wash cyclesYes it's fine to dye well washed fabrics and the colour mixing rules still apply. Will stains or bleach marks be coveredThe best results will be achieved on stain free, clean fabrics. Stains are not always covered when dyeing and may still be visible. Is it possible to do a white wash after I have dyed something in my machineYes, but the machine has to be cleaned with a separate wash cycle (ideally 40 C). This is necessary in order to remove the risk of any traces of dye being left in the machine. Is it possible to use fabric dye by handYes, but only by using hand dye. Machine dye and wash and dye are therefore not suitable for dyeing by hand. What should I do if I dyed with and some marks or stains appear in the subsequent washesIt is important to clean the washing machine after dyeing as per the instructions in order to prevent any issues with subsequent washes. Is it possible to dry dyed fabrics in the dryerYes, after the first wash after dyeing you can put your dyed fabrics in the dryer. You can treat your dyed fabrics like any other coloured fabrics. Is it possible to use fabric dye in a top loaderNo, fabric dyes are not suitable to be used in a top loader machine.

This colour is also available in Hand Dye. Use with Pre-Dye if you want to change from one strong colour to another or if you want to achieve a lighter colour.
