Bulgur is made from Durum wheat that is parboiled in water, and sun-dried and milled into distinct grain sizes. It, also called bulgur wheat. Aksoy Vermicelli Cracked Course Bulgur contains 75% coarse bulgur and 25% roasted vermicelli noodles.

How to Cook Aksoy Vermicelli Bulgur Wheat

  1. Place 1 tbsp of olive oil and 1/2 tbsp of butter in saucepan.
  2. Add Aksoy Vermicelli Coarse Bulgur Wheat and sauté almost 2min.
  3. Add 2 cups of boiling water and 1 tsp of salt.
  4. Cook over low heat for 15 minutes Cover and simmer until stock is absorbed.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Cover and let stand for 15 min.
  7. You can serve it with yogurt, hummus or kind of meze.

MAKE A BULGUR PILAF WITH VERMICELLI AND CHICKEN

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup bulgur wheat with vermicelli,
  • 1 tablespoon butter/ olive oil
  • 3 cups chicken broth(optional)
  • Salt
  • Parsley
  • chicken Legs or quarters
  • slivered almonds
Tips For Bulgur

  • Served with chopped salad, and cucumber yogurt salad
  • Bulgur will double in volume when it cooks so make sure you use a large pot.
  • Don't miss black peppers. Black pepper complements bulgur.

Instructions:

Cook The Chicken (Optional)

Cook the chicken or beef in advance. Use their liquid in place of water. Chicken legs and quarter took about 40 minutes to cook on medium heat. Use a strainer to separate the chicken from its water.

  4. When it comes to a boil, put the lid on and cook on low heat until all the water is absorbed.
  5. Ready to serve, fluff it with a fork sprinkle toasted almonds or fresh parsley on top.
