It provides enhanced stability and adjustability. How to slip on: 1. Insert each end of the headgear strap over the stabilizers through the buttonholes. (The blue side is worn facing out, with the gray side facing in) 2. Secure in place by wrapping each strap end up and around the nodes. 3. Holding the split straps, pull the headgear from the stabilizer to ensure it is tightly secure around the nodes.
