Set Dorsiflexion & Plantarflexion
-How to Set Dorsiflexion & Plantarflexion:
ROM set instruction - when you move the pins, you need to rotate the plastic dial to where the "pin" is open. Then you need to rotate it 180 degrees and remove the other pin. Then do the same thing on the other side of the ankle. Then hold the boot top and the toe and move it to the angle you want. Then reinsert all 4 pins. You will probably have to wiggle the top and the toe to get it to seat. One pin, on one side is to keep the toe from moving one direction (up), the other pin on the same side, 180 degrees away is to keep it from moving down. That keeps it fixed. If you put them in different holes, you can make the boot "walk" where it will have motion in a limited range.
