Spring Crop "Bi Lou Chun" or "Spring Green Snail" Chinese green tea - 250g. This green tea is harvested in early spring, quickly dried and then rolled into balls to seal the flavor. Also known as Pi Lo Chun, it is renowned for its delicate appearance, fruity taste, floral aroma and flashy white hair. Zhen Jun (1857-1918 AD), author of the Cha Shuo tea encyclopedia, ranked it first among Chinese green teas. INGREDIENTS green tea DIRECTIONS Warm the vessel with boiling water then pour fresh boiled water over a teaspoon of tea balls per cup or mug. Cover and leave to steep for 2 minutes. Can be re-steeped 6-8 times. See more

Boil fresh water, leave to cool for 1 minute (to 80 degrees), add one small teaspoon and brew for 2-3 minutes. The tea unfurls when brewing into rich green whole leaves. Good quality tea like this can be re-brewed for a softer flavour and lower caffeine. A moderate amount of caffeine gently raises your metabolism while being calorie-free. Bright tea-leafy flavours added to citrus fruit notes make this a very refreshing tea. Bi Lou Chun early copped Chinese green tea with distinctive showy white white hairs of the new buds still visible.
