What is Riceberry Rice?

• Our Riceberry Rice is a cross-breed with Thai Jasmine Rice and Glutinous Black Rice. It was founded by a professor at the Rice Science Center, Kasetsart University of Thailand.
• According to the research in Thailand, Riceberry rice was developed to be higher in nutritional health benefits, mainly from anthocyanin, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, manganese, molybdenum and antioxidants.
• Anthocyanin is dark purple pigment, which is also found in other fruits and vegetables like blueberries. That's why they call this rice variety "RICE BERRY", even though there are no berries or added colors in the rice.
• Anthocyanin is highly regarded as a superfood due to its potential pharmaceutical properties.
• Phosphorus helps to keep teeth and bones strong, diminish muscle pain, repair tissue and retain a normal heartbeat.
• Magnesium is an important vitamin that helps to maintain the immune system, support nervous system and blood pressure.
• Zinc helps to support metabolism, the immune system and your body's healing process.
• Manganese helps to reduce inflammation, improves blood pressure and ensures good bone health.
• Molybdenum is an essential nutrients that reduces toxins in your body.
• It is a popular rice due to its health promoting and excellent cooking ingredients, resulting in rich whole grain organic rice with softness, healthy and a very appetizing flavor.
• This organic aromatic Riceberry rice is known as 'Thai Fragrant Rice' because of the distinctive jasmine aroma that comes out when cooked.

Cooking Instructions :

• After rinsing. Add 1 cup of rice with 1.5 cup of water. Bring to boil on medium heat, then turn heat down to simmer for 30 minutes and stir occasionally. Turn off heat and cover for another 10 minutes. Add water if needed.
• The water will become dark purple when it is cooking. This is totally natural.
• Our rice is grown with organic farming methods which leads to some grains are smaller and lighter weight. Expect some of these grains float when added to water, as this is totally natural.

• We grow our own rice in small lots on our Family's Organic Farm. We ensure our rice is the highest premium quality for the customers.
• Our farm decided to grow premium, unique heirloom rice species, which are naturally higher in nutrients and antioxidants.
• Moreover, hundreds of interested farmers and consumers, including the kindergarten schools, have been routinely visiting the farm during our “Fun On The Farm” tours to learn about the organic way of farming and nature conservation.
